  14. I've tried this for ages, and I keep getting wrong results,
  15. so I simply dont know what to do anymore.

  17. What I want to do is, to erase the hostname in the From: field
  18. of every outgoing mail.

  20. For example, I am sitting an the machine alderaan in the domain
  21. cis.uni-muenchen.de, and when I'm sending mail to the world,
  22. my From: line looks like this:    yoda@alderaan.cis.uni-muenchen.de
  23. but I woant it to look like:    yoda@cis.uni-muenchen.de
