  25.   1.    Connect to library.vuw.ac.nz.
  26.  
  27.         The way you do this will depend on the system you are using.
  28.         However with most computer systems connected to the
  29.         'Network' (VUW Campus Backbone Network, Te Kawai Hiko,
  30.         Internet etc) the command "telnet library.vuw.ac.nz" should do
  31.        the trick.t period of time the connection will be
  32.         established.

  41.   3.    Press Return.

  43.         The system log on prompt will appear:

  49.   4.        Enter OPAC then press Return.

  51.         You will be logged on to the Online Public Access Catalogue
  52.         and presented with the "Welcome" screen.

  58.   1.    From the main search menu, enter "Q" then press return.

  60.         You should now see the "Welcome" screen that was displayed when
  61.         you first logged on.

  63.   2.    Enter LATER then press return.

  65.         You will be logged off and your telnet session will finish,
  66.         in a similar way to the following example:

  77.     subject to change so only use the IP address if you don't have

  79.   o You may be asked to enter the type of terminal you are using after
  80.     entering OPAC, during step 4 of Logging On.  The supported
  81.     terminal types are: VT100, VT52 and Wyse 30/50 (in native mode,
  82.     enhance off).

  84.     integrated library system.
