- Just MHO, but if you are going to buy a PC, look for brands that are not
- that BIG in the market. Smaller enterprises offer the same quality and
- performance than do Dell & Gateway but at a much lower price.

- I would say roughly 500 MB - 1 GB, if you want to get into serious 3-D
- animation. 200 - 400 MB if you want to get into "somewhat" serious 3-D.

- Stealth VRAM will accelerate CAD graphics but not rendering. For speed in
- Windows, look at the new boards coming out with Windows acceleration,
- higer res and more colors. If your main purpose will be image processing,
- any video board with 16.7 M colors will do (accelerated or not) while for
- CAD and 3-D rendering, you would more likely tend to the higher-end
- accelerated graphics engines with the TI 34020 or such. Some examples are
- Opta Mona Lisa, Hercules Color Station, NEC graphics engine, and maybe even
- the new ATI Ultra Pro Plus.
