- I need to buy a computer and write ray tracers. I'd love an SGI but my
- budget is more limited than that. So I feel I'm stuck with a souped-up PC.
-
- All the 24-bit PC boards I know about, have drivers for DOS or Windows.
- But I need a _REAL_ (i.e. 32-bit) operating system. OS/2 is out: to my
- knowledge, there are no 24-bit OS/2 2.0 drivers in existence anywhere, nor
- does anyone plan to make them.
-
- Is there _ANY_ alternative on a PC?
- X Windows under a PC UNIX, perhaps?
- Anything at all???
