- I have checked out all the leads I received about the schools
- that offer computer graphics education programs (in the US and
- Canada).
-
- Today I visited Academy of Art College/California State
- University in San Francisco and picked up some brochures about
- their classes. I found out, among the other things, that the
- computers being used are MACs!
-
- Aren't there any schools that use *real* graphics workstations
- (I'm talking about undergraduate programs)in teaching and labs?
- Every single college that offers a programs in computer
- graphics/animation seems to have PCs or MACs in the labs.
-
- The best programs I've found so far are offered by RISD (even
- though their program is more conventional and thus is not
- concentrated on computer based animation in any way).
-
- So, once again, I'd ask you to email or post information about
- the schools offering computer graphics programs around the
- continent (excluding New York City; I realize that Pratt
- Institute and some other schools there might have excellent
- programs available but I just can't imagine living there for the
- lasting of the school. I can even take L.A.! :)
-
- I'm mostly interested in the artistic approach to the graphics,
- ie. primarily interactive design (as opposed to heavy coding).
