  11. Hi all users of the >>BEST<< 1496EC modem,

  13. have you also got problems with this modem ? My modem still cannot
  14. recognize certain signalling tones in Singapore, e.g. no BUSY and
  15. sometimes the modem fails to recognize a successfull connection.
  16. The firmware is version V1.09 and V1.3 (hope I got it right).    
  17. Maybe we can share our experiences ?

  21. P.S. BEST is a taiwanese company offering their fax-modems which can
  22.      handle V32bis, V42bis in Singapore for roughly 375 US $.
