- I have a Supra V32bisFax modem in auto-answer mode.
-
- Rom's are V1.200-H. Set to \N3.
-
- Quite frequently I notice it answering a call, attempting to
- negotiate a protocol and then after a few seconds dropping out.
-
- I presume that there is a problem with the negotiation from the
- calling modem, perhaps not tolerating the compression/correction
- negotiations. Needless to say, the Supra's have no trouble talking
- to each other :)
-
- Has anyone noticed a similar problem ? With which modems ? Are there
- any parameters that can be tuned to reduce this problem ?
-
- It would be a shame to have to turn off V42bis/MNP to deal with this.
