  13. I have a Supra V32bisFax modem in auto-answer mode.

  15. Rom's are V1.200-H. Set to \N3.

  17. Quite frequently I notice it answering a call, attempting to
  18. negotiate a protocol and then after a few seconds dropping out.

  20. I presume that there is a problem with the negotiation from the
  21. calling modem, perhaps not tolerating the compression/correction
  22. negotiations. Needless to say, the Supra's have no trouble talking
  23. to each other :)

  25. Has anyone noticed a similar problem ? With which modems ? Are there
  26. any parameters that can be tuned to reduce this problem ?

  28. It would be a shame to have to turn off V42bis/MNP to deal with this.
