  10. Hello all,

  12. We have a ZyXEL U-1496E connected to a DECserver 200 mostly for dialup,
  13. but on occasion used for dial-out, as well. For the most part, the setup
  14. listed below works, except for one major problem. If one dials-in to the
  15. modem, and then goes back to local (ie- +++) then reconnecting with ATO
  16. doesn't work. When I look at the lights on the front of the ZyXEL (we have
  17. another modem so I can dial into the server from the same room), I see
  18. that the RTX/STX lights start flickering like mad at the moment that I go to
  19. local mode. This appears to go on indefinitely, but if I walk away from it, 
  20. it appears to restore itself after some amount of time (on the order of 
  21. hours). Has anybody else had this kind of problem? I've tried all kinds of 
  22. settings for the port (ie- modem control, flow control, dsrlogout, etc.) and
  23. for the modem (ie- &s0/1, &h0/3/4, various S registers...) but nothing seems
  24. to change this symptom. I've listed the settings that we have for bith the
  25. server and the modem, any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
