  12. I just received an IBM 3101-22 terminal, and wanted to test it out by
  13. hooking it to my computer's serial port, and running a terminal 
  14. program on my PC.  I didn't think it would be this trivial, and it
  15. wasn't-- but I'm at a loss to explain its failure.  
  16. Why didn't this work?  Is there a way to hook up the terminal to the
  17. PC's serial port so I can watch the characters appear on the PC monitor when
  18. they're typed at the terminal keyboard?

  25. have one yet...)
