  20. I even understand that there will be no future releases of Telegard from
  21. Martin Pollard?  Also, there are several sources you can obtain the source code
  22. for Telegard 2.5 and greater.  There is reportedly (hearsay cause I haven't
  23. actually saw it) that a later version contains a trojan and some local sysop
  24. who got greedy to get ahead of the other Telegard Sysops went and downloaded it
  25. from Rust and Eddies BBS (somewhere in Florida) and it did the wild thing.. on
  26. his drive.

  28. For a long time Telegard and TAGBBS ( a ligit - produced code and also a later
  29. re-write of WWIV) went at it head and toes.  Seemed that most the kiddies in
  30. town ran Telegard as opposed to TAG or commercial software for some reason.
  31. I guess that might relate to "Hacker Wars".  Ask Marty Pollard about the user
  32. who uploaded a "Logoff.Bat" file with a little documented feature of DSZ to
  33. his BBS directory and nearly did the wild thing on him!  Since... That feature
  34. was fixed by using the DSZ 'Restrict' command, restricting uploaded files to
  35. the upload directory and not the path sent by the remote hook-up.

  37. When security counts, Telegard doesn't!  Telegard anyone?  His next software,
  38. which is scheduled to be Marty-Gard, well I never saw it.
