- For those Americans who are unaware, we are now a metric nation. The congress
- decreed that starting in 1988 we should start using metric and that after a
- certain date (I believe Dec. 31, 1992) All government transactions must be
- conducted using metric. The last SBIR pre-solicitation announcement (and
- probably a whole bunch of other recent government documents) mentioned this
- and said that instructions on how to deal with it will be forthcomming.
