- I am trying to find a system which can solve a set of equations for
- an unknown. It seems simple enough, but I have not been able to write
- one that does not explode on me.

- I would prefer a system which has the source code available, but I
- guess I will settle for anything that can be used as a "black box". I
- am not looking for an extremely complicated program (such as
- Mathematica) which has zillions of functions, or other expensive
- products.
