- Does anyone have any experience with or ideas about charging patrons for
- the paper used in CD-ROM searching? Or how about any technology to count
- pages printed in tractor feed printers? We are trying to find any
- way to either save money or offset costs during these hard times.
- We don't want to discourage the use of CDs, but the practice of printing
- out all hits and using/needing only 10% of them. We want to cut down on the
- use of so much paper. We maintain 5 Infotrac terminals, Eric, MLA, Agricola,
- and a network with Psyclit, Newsbank, and about 7 other government issue CDs.
- All the printers are tractor feed Panasonics or Okidatas. I am open to any
- and all suggestions or comments. I need a brainstorm here.
