  11. We've have Kermit running on PC's, emulating VT100's, going thru 7171's into
  12. our mainframe, doing 3270 emulation and file transfer via VM Kermit.  Have
  13. been doing this for several years with no difficulty.  One of our sites just
  14. installed a 3174 with AEA adapters.  This replaces some old communications
  15. gear that allowed pc users to connect to our 7171's.

  17. I've tried IBM's FTTERM thru this 3174 and file transfer works fine using
  18. IND$FILE.  But, using PC kermit talking to VM kermit, file transfer does not
  19. work.  I've been thru about every 3174 manual that I can find and IBM does
  20. mention that the IND$FILE type file transfer is supported but none other.
  21. It looks as if transparency support is available in the 3174 and IBM sort of
  22. hints that user supported code could be written that could use transparency
  23. to do file transfer.

  25. My questions.  Has anyone else been down this path?  Have you got file transfer
  26. to work with Kermit going thru a 3174?  If so, what settings did you change
  27. in the 3174 to get it to work?
