  14.  I am myself opposed to government intervention in general, but I am
  15. dealing with the reality that this society has decided that government
  16. intervention in almost every aspect of life. While the attempt of
  17. California voters to control government spending is admirable (I wish they
  18. would find something other than education to cut), it is not the norm.
  19. Education seems to be coming under particular pressure, possibly because
  20. the population is aging and has other concerns, such as medical care. This
  21. is an interesting point you bring up, but I'm not sure how it related to
  22. the main thrust of my message. Maybe I need to be more clear; sorry if I
  23. was not.
