  10. I've just issued a newgroup for bc.rcbc.  This group is to discuss applications
  11. and issues for Research Computing B.C., the high-performance computing center
  12. for public and private research.  This center currently contains a DECmpp 12000
  13. (aka MasPar MP-1) massively parallel processor with 8,192 CPUs capable of 600
  14. MFlops and a twin-vector Vax 9000-420VP capable of 125 MFlops per vp.

  16. I hope that all sites that carry the bc. hierarchy honor the newgroup control
  17. message.  Those sites that want direct feeds of this group can let me know and
  18. I'll set one up.

  20. This is my first attempt at creating a new group in the bc hierarchy; if there
  21. is some procedure that I've missed or blown, please let me know via e-mail.
