  12. I am in a situation where I need more disk space in my PC, and I have
  13. a CONNER 3.5", 120MB IDE drive in my '486 with one of those all-purpose
  14. controller cards (SERIAL, FLOPPIES, HDD, etc).

  16. I also have a Seagate ST-251 40MB MFM-based hard drive sitting here staring
  17. me in the face.  I have fiddled with some MFM controller cards in my machine
  18. (along side the IDE controller), but can't seem to get the two to peacefully
  19. co-exist.

  21. I'm not (yet) asking for a method of making it work, I would just like to know
  22. if it is possible to intermix these two hard drive types in the same computer.

  28. P.S.  I am aware that this may not be the appropriate group, but, of the 10
  29. groups I subscribe to on my home PC, it was the closest.  Unless you have an
  30. exceptionally clever flame, save the bandwidth...
