  12. I finished installing and configuring a gopher server on a DEC 5000 runing
  13. Ultrix.  I edited the Makefile.config, and put:
  14.     DOMAIN     =""      since my machine returns the whole domain name.
  15.                         like xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx.edu for example
  16. then I pointed my DOS gopher client to point to the srver I;ve just finished
  17. building, and found that the server appended .micro.umn.edu to my hostname.
  18. I went back to the server and edited the .cache file and deleted the extras
  19. which is .micro.umn.edu.  I know that this, editing the .cache file, is
  20. not the solution because the the file will be updated every 3 minutes.
  21. can any one help with this problem.
