- No, you've missed the point. Up until (and including) the year 1751,
- the first day of the new year fell on 25th March; from 1752 onwards it
- fell on 1st January. Thus every year until 1750 inclusive ran from
- 25th March to 24th March, the year 1751 ran from 25th March to 31st
- December, and every year from 1752 onwards ran from 1st January to
- 31st December. The months of January and February weren't left out of
- any year, but the *dates* 1st January 1751 to 24th March 1751 were
- never used.
