  32. No, you've missed the point.  Up until (and including) the year 1751,
  33. the first day of the new year fell on 25th March; from 1752 onwards it
  34. fell on 1st January.  Thus every year until 1750 inclusive ran from
  35. 25th March to 24th March, the year 1751 ran from 25th March to 31st
  36. December, and every year from 1752 onwards ran from 1st January to
  37. 31st December.  The months of January and February weren't left out of
  38. any year, but the *dates* 1st January 1751 to 24th March 1751 were
  39. never used.
