- It is really difficult for some.... and for a lot of others I know its
- been real easy.
-
- I moved here to the US, from India, about 5 years ago and ended up in a
- small school in Iowa (Ok they gave me a better financial package than any
- other school... I suspect this happened cuz they didn't have any Indian
- students at that time.) That move was *fun* I made lots of friends with
- the international students and most of the other students.
-
- After graduation, I've move about 3 times .. and have noticed that the
- better the job... the harder its getting for me to meet people. Seems like
- some of my fellow graduates who have taken up jobs as social workers have
- had a better time than me.
-
- Well I am not really complaining, I live in Cincinnati... the cultural groin
- of the Midwest, I met a cute gal a few weeks ago who asked me what I did,
- I told her I was a Senior Engineer in a software company. I saw the glazed eyes
- and simplyfied things a little ... "I work a lot with Computers". Her eyes
- lit up.... "Oh you mean ... duh ... like at Radio Shack! Cool!".
-
- Hmmm... why is it, that whenever I start a post on a non tech forum I tend
- to ramble :-) :-)...
-
- So much for now .... Hasta la Goodbye!
