  15. Last night the government of Australia,dropped the ban that prevented
  16. Gays from joining the armed forces.
  17. It will now be illegal to discriminate against sexual preference in the armed
  18. forces (not that it will stop,but at least it's a start.)
  19. The gay and lesbian teachers federation said that the opposition would face
  20. an electoral backlash,if it were to honour their promise to re-introduce
  21. the ban.

  23. The general populace have accepted  this as a fact of life.
  24. One 'caller' said " gays are already in the armed forces,now perhaps they
  25. can continue on with their career ".....lets hope they were right.
