- In a previous article, I wrote:
- [About Cincinnati City Council's vote on a proposed Human Rights
- Ordinance]

- >Mayor Dwight Tillery (513) 352-3250
- As, previously mentioned, Tillery was shamelessly courting
- the gay vote at election time, and seemed most grateful
- when he addressed Stonewall's annual bash, but now he
- seems to be waffling on this issue. Can you say Pete
- Wilson? By the way, he is also Cincinnati's first
- African-American mayor.
- >Pete Strauss (513) 352-3346
- Strauss was not Stonewall-endorsed for his city council
- race, but was later endorsed when he ran for County
- Commissioner. He's on the fence about the HRO.
- >Nell Surber (513) 352-4683
- Surber didn't origianally win a seat on City Council,
- but she had enough votes to get her in when someone
- else vacated a seat. Though she was Stonewall-endorsed,
- she seems to be having trouble remembering who her sup-
- porters were.
- >David Mann (513) 352-5302
- It is rumored that Mann may vacate his seat prior to the
- election on Wednesday. He was elected to another office
- in higher (State?) government.
- >Nick Vehr (513) 352-3646
