- I'm returning to Evanston, IL 24 years after graduating from high
- school, for a reunion of my Unitarian youth group. In addition
- to the reunion activities, I'd like to see Evanston's gay
- gathering places, if any. I've been surprised to see Evanston
- mentioned as a particularly good place for gay and lesbian people
- to live. When I was there, Mrs. Tooze and the WCTU still reigned.
- Anybody know what I'm talking about?
-
- Coffee houses/folk music places?
-
- My partner and I will be taking in art museums as well, and I'd
- like to know if there's anything noteworthy besides the Art
- Institute and the Chicago Museum of Modern Art (we're already
- planning to go to Art In the Armory -- but where is the Armory?)
-
- Is there still a German Town on North Lincoln Ave.? If not,
- where's the best German food?
-
- I'm flying east on Thanksgiving day, so I'm hoping for quick
- replys.
-
- Thanks!
