  20. Actually, Queers were allowed in the military if they were already 
  21. there.  They were blocked from promotion or further training, but they
  22. weren't kicked out.

  24. Now, however, they can apply and no one will ask if they're queer, and
  25. even if they did, it's illegal to hold it against them.

  27. I'm not so sure if I would use Canada as an example for your military
  28. leaders.  We don't have the defensive capability to withstand a 
  29. concerted effort by the New York City police force to take over our
  30. country.  <grin>
