- You certainly don't sound especially gay over the phone. Maybe I've lived in
- Northern California too long - even the butchest of butch straight men in my
- neighborhood would come across as screaming queens in some parts of the country.

- The first production I saw, at Theatre Rhinoceros in San Francisco, was one
- of the first productions anywhere - I don't believe the last two acts had
- even been written yet. The actor who played Arnold, while not the butchest
- of the butch, was also not as nelly as Harvey Fierstein. Not all drag
- queens are effeminate and swishy (although as the Pirate King says, "taht's
