  12. I have redone all the montages of the pictures on ursa-major.  The new files
  13. are available from ftp.ucs.ed.ac.uk in /pub/images/motss.new. The old gifs 
  14. have been removed.

  16. The directory contents a 18 sets of three files.  The three files are:

  18.     a table of contents
  19.     a montage gif file
  20.     a compressed encapsulated PostScript file containing a greyscale image of
  21.     the gif file 
  22.  
  23. The files are called:

  25.     1.contents
  26.     1.gif
  27.     1.ps.Z
  28.     2.contents
  29.     2.gif
  30.     2.ps.Z
  31.     ...etc..etc...

  33. The images are not necessarily in alphabetic order so you really need to fetch
  34. the contents files to find out which gifs you want.  However, they are much
  35. better laid out with 25 pictures to each page.  This seemed to give a reasonable
  36. balance between legibility and compression.
