  29. This may be one we've helped do to ourselves.

  31. A few years ago some physiological research was done that demonstrated
  32. that women were more likely to recover their speech after a left side
  33. stroke than men. Shortly after this research was published, education
  34. faculties nationwide developed a 'left brain == male, right brain ==
  35. female' kick which many alleged feminists embraced. Agreeing with the
  36. educators (who had seriously distorted the actual findings of the
  37. original research) that women were 'right brained', this group of
  38. alleged feminists proceeded to buy into many old myths about creative
  39. and artistic women who of course, being right brained, were not
  40. capable of doing mean, aggressive, masculine tasks such as
  41. Mathematics.

  43. Some women were influenced by these ideas, and decided to abandon the
  44. sciences and technologies for the arts.

  46. Some women who opposed this mass dash for creativity were shouted down
  47. and abused as anti-feminist.

  50. ourselves.
