- I don't want to sound pedantic here, but the name of the place is
- "Rio de la Plata" which means (roughly translated) Silver River. And
- the battle is known (at least in spanish speaking countries) as
- the battle of "Mar del Plata". That is the name of the sea where
- the Rio de la Plata ends.
