  19. What altitude are these weapons usually air-bursted at and how big is the
  20. fireball when it detonates? I have heard these things described as super
  21. incendiaries by people protesting the Gulf War, claiming that FAEs are 
  22. illegal weapons of war and that they "incincerate everything w/in x feet and
  23. use up all of the oxygen in that area," to paraphrase. How accurate is this?
  24. (I don't take such claims at face value too often.) The impression I have of
  25. FAEs is that most of its destruction comes from the overpressure caused by
  26. concussive blast. I also think the shockwave is where people get the comparison
  27. to nuclear weapons.
