  20. I too have recently purchased this planer and I also have seen this problem.
  21. Actually, what I see is "sniping" on both ends of the work (ie,
  22. both ends get planed a bit thinner than the middle).  Try calling the Delta
  23. service number (their 800 number is given in the manual).  When I called,
  24. the helpful service guy knew exactly what I was seeing and gave me a short
  25. list of adjustments to make, none of which involved the blades (which you have
  26. already tried adjusting).  I wish I could tell you if the adjustments solved
  27. the problem, but unfortunately I haven't had the time to actually try them
  28. yet.

  32. I would be interested to know how it turns out for you, and whether anyone else
  33. has had problems with this particular tool.  I must say it was a little
  34. disappointing to have to play with the thing right out of the box, so to
  35. speak.  It's my third Delta tool (the others being a jointer and drill press),
  36. and so far I've been pretty happy with Delta quality.
