- Well, when I was at Cornell (86-90) in Ithaca NY, I took windsurfing on
- the finger lakes (right by the scool). Turns out you could take
- windsurfing through the scool (phys ed credits) and only pay something
- like $160 for 4 month, and use all the equipment as often as you wanted
- (pretty good stuff there). Needless to say I was there a lot, even missed
- afternoon classes when the wind was very good. This is where I learned to
- windsurf (during the fall when the winds are better, but before the lake
- freezes !) and now looking back at it I think that was a lot of fun and a
- good deal for the money.
-
- Believe me, you have a lot more time in college than you will ever have
- once you start working. You just don't have the money... Then again I
- really shouldn't complain because my job here in the SF bay is flexible
- enough so I can usually take afternoons off to windsurf during the summer
- and work at night instead. Most people aren't that lucky and can only go
- during weekends. The SF area is a great place to windsurf (and work)
- though...
