  14.   Fellow netters,

  16.   I would like advice on how to alleviate a problem I have
  17.   with VHS recording on my Sony 575 vcr (4-head, hi-fi, 
  18.   NOT flying erase). Whenever I pause the recording, say
  19.   to get up to turn a disc over, then restart, a couple
  20.   of translucent colored bars appear and float around the
  21.   screen for a second or two before disappearing (in the
  22.   recorded version, that is). Is there a solution to this
  23.   problem, or is there something defective with the vcr?
  24.   It performs flawlessly otherwise, and the quality of the
  25.   recording is quite good, given good quality tape in SP.
