- I've had the 455 for a few weeks. I ordered it from Crutchfield. It's not in
- their current catalog, but I gave them a call, just on the chance that they
- might have it...Surprise! They did! The sales rep said it would be in their
- next catalog. I don't own the 333, but some differences I know about are:
- The 455 has NO "flip down" front on the disc drawer. Evidently, these were
- notorious for breaking. The 455's drawer just slides out like a carousel CD
- player. There is a Toslink optical digital output (which works great hooked up
- to my Technics SAGX910 AV Receiver), there are 2 full sets of AV outputs, a
- 3-line digital comb filter, and some kind of "weird-sounding" (to me!) circuit
- that is suppose to help compensate for video dropouts on discs. I'm not sure
- how that works! There is a jog-shuttle on the machine and the remote, which
- also can control a SONY TV (remote NOT programmable). I'm sure there are some
- other differences I'm not aware of. How does it work??? GREAT!!! The audio
- especially is Super.
