  41. Laserdiscs cannot have Macrovision applied to it, since it (Macrovision) would
  42. have to be placed where all of the LD's control signals are.

  44. There was talk of having new LD players add the Macrovision signal, but I
  45. haven't heard much about that since.

  47. So, for the foreseeable future, laserdiscs are safe.
