  17. I need to clarify this a little.  The EVS3000 says that datacode
  18. is received over the Lanc.  But I think that they are only using
  19. this as a control signal for the Advanced Synchro-edit function.  
  20. It is not recorded on the Hi8 target tape in the EVS3000.

  22. For example, if you edit from a TR101 to a 3000, and then play 
  23. back the tape, there is no control (that I am aware of) on the 
  24. 3000 that will let you selectively turn on or off the date or time 
  25. display.  And if you then take that target tape and play it back 
  26. from the TR101, when you activate the date or time display it just 
  27. shows lines on the screen.
