- A question about LD-101 and test equipment in general:
-
- When setting up a small video capability (2-3 EVO-9850 Hi8 decks and
- studio quality monitors), at what point is it necessary to acquire test
- equipment to help calibrate the other equipment? What's a minimal
- suite of test equipment suitable for such a small facility?
-
- How much of this can be accomplished using LD-101 instead? I
- understand that it's not the same as using test equipment, but might it
- be an acceptable and convenient compromise to get the most basic
- adjustments done? (Absolute perfection is not required.) If so, how
- "good" a LaserDisc player would be required?
-
- Also, how good is the Pioneer LD-V8000 overall? Is the $2,395 price
- mostly for the full frame store and control features, or does it
- buy very high quality video and reliability as well? How does it
- compare to the more expensive, "videophile" LD-S2?
