  13. My understanding is that the difference between these two comes down to the 
  14. flying erase head on the 696.  Is this worth the extra fifty bucks?  I have a 
  15. flying erase head on my JVC but want to switch to Sony.  It's great for 
  16. seamless editing but I haven't had one without it so I can't make a 
  17. comparison.
