- Thanks for all your recommendations on mail order firm for
- camcorder. Based on the recommendation from the net, I went
- with Camera World of Oregon. The salesperson was more than
- polite. There was force to buy anything more than what I
- asked for. The camera was delivered on the date that the
- sales person told me. All in all no problems. Their prices
- are indeed low. I checked around for Canon L1 with US warranties.
- There price at 1849 was the cheapest. The camera itself is
- more than great. I have so far explored just the basic features
- and I am impressed. There is noticeable difference in quality
- compared to several other camcorder performance (at that price
- it had better be :-) ). If you have the spare cash, I would
- say go for it. The one feature I find truely remarkable is
- the compatibility (at the price of buying an adaptor $250)
- with EOS lenses. I have tried a couple and there is no loss
- is quality.
-
- By the way, I figured at $30 a year for five years, the extended
- warranty is worth it. So long as I do not smash it on a rock, I
- believe parts and labor are all covered. What more can I say!!
- If anyone has any specific questions, drop me a line and I will
- be more than happy to answer.
