- Even discounting all the hubub about the skiamericard, I'd be highly suspect
- about what type of insoles they are referring to. If you wan't the best fit
- for your feet, you have to go to a _custom_ footbed: ie Superfeet or
- Petersons. Or possibly even better, go to an orthotic shop and have a set
- made by a specialist for your feet.
-
- : To answer your question, I just bought some new boots and got custom
- : insoles made. I think they are called SuperFeet. They do improve the
- : fit of my boots noticeably (the sales guy claimed I had strong pronation
- : [flattening of the feet] and that the insoles would help me a lot. Many
- : other people have told me that custom insoles are well worth the money.
-
- I've had superfeet for quite some time and I find them great except for one
- minor problem. The superfeet I have have high toe ridges and sometimes I
- get my big toe over the ridge instead of in the hollow where it should be.
- This rubs and gives some pain.
-
- Superfeet (The cork moulded insole) are great for your ski boots, but I
- wouldn't reccomend them for running shoes because they're HARD. The first
- few days I had mine, it felt like my feet had taken a pounding. Then I got
- used to them.
-
- I'm going to try my orthotics (Full length foam moulded) in my ski boots
- this year and see if there's any significant difference.

-
- Hope this isn't too late!! I wouldn't spend the time trying on the boots
- until after you've had the insoles made. The boot is going to feel quite
- a bit different when you have the insoles in, and it's a good idea to try
- them that way.
-
- Hope this helps,
