- My favorite "friend wipeout" came at Blue Mountain Canada in 1982. For a
- change, the crew was in front of me, and Eric took a digger, kicking up snow
- all over the trail. From my vantage point, the snow billowed out to engulf the
- entire party. At the cloud's apex, two skis came flying out at different
- angles. As the snow settled back down, there was Eric, standing, skiless, on
- his feet, poles in hand, looking more than a little sheepish...
