- I got a lot of help and instruction in learning to ski from a guy who
- is Japanese and happened to be visiting from Hitachi. His name is
- Motohisa and it was very good of him to bore himself helping me get
- started....I think it amused him. He was not from Hokkaido but liked
- to ski there....I remember commenting on how crowded the slopes were
- on some horrible day around Christmas and he thought the lift lines
- and crowd weren't bad at all.
-
- Went to work and when asked what I did that weekend I said, "Skiing,
- I love it, Who wants to go?" and Motohisa said, "I've got a season
- pass...go all the time...want to take turns driving?" He helped me
- buy my first pair of skis. Nice guy.
