  20. Yeah, IHB did operate cabooses.  As I recall (it's probably been over 
  21. 20 years since I've seen one -- I moved away from Chicago in 1973, 
  22. although I still visit several times a year), they were of the
  23. transfer type (i.e., smallish enclosed part with fairly large open
  24. platforms on both ends).

  26. Also, if my memory isn't failing me, the IHB was jointly owned by the 
  27. New York Central and the Milwaukee Road.  (IF my memory is correct on 
  28. that point, and IF one or the other party hasn't sold out, that would 
  29. make today's IHB owned by Conrail and CP Rail?  Can anyone check?)

  34. Hmmm...color scheme....  I seem to recall they were painted green.  I 
  35. couldn't say how similar or different in shade from NYC colors.  The
  36. markings I don't recall at all.  There is a very slim chance that I
  37. have a color slide of one somewhere in my collection from back before
  38. I kept track of what I had.  If no one else can come up with better
  39. information, let me know and I'll try to dig around and see if I can
  40. find anything in my collection.
