- Funny you should mention that. When I worked on Vancouver Island (on the
- Esquimalt & Nanaimo) back in 89, we used to get rocks all the time. See, to
- get to Wellcox yard (the main yard), you traveled right through an Indian
- reserve. One of the old timers warned me my FIRST trip...keep the windows
- closed through this part, no matter how hot it may be. :) Yep, and like a
- dummy I stood on the back platform one day (I was having a cigarette as I was
- working with a non-smoking conductor) and just missed being hit by half of a
- brick. The damn thing bounced off the door of the cab and landed at my feet.
