  11. According to the CBC:

  13. Voyageur Bus lines filed a complaint today with the Canadian Transport
  14. Commission that Via Rail is competing unfairly by offering ddep discounts
  15. on their fares, especially in the Windsor / Quebec City corridor.  Voyageur
  16. claims that they are losing their shirts in the passenger business.

  18. I might be more sympathetic if the Liberal minister of transport (Jean Luc 
  19. Pepin) who raped Via in the 1970's had not been an officer in the corporation
  20. who owned Voyageur.

  22. Further, I feel that Voyageur is being injured by the present cut throat 
  23. environment in the Airline industry just as Greyhound in the USA was before
  24. them.  Greyhound Canada, who made $24,000,000.00 in 1991 and are not closely
  25. linked to their once parent company in the USA, operates mostly west of
  26. Toronto and make more money off freight then they do off passenger service.
