- The sizes of the meter regions are just too large to give an accurate
- evaluation of scene contrast. And no camera can guess what your
- subject of interest is (until they have cameras where you can tell it
- "*that's* the subject of interest!"--the EOS A2E may be getting there...).

- Maybe a hybrid digital/film camera could do it, or perhaps just a
- denser metering pattern. With thousands of small samples, the range of
- contrast could be more accurately determined.
