- I agree whole heartedly that the roommate should pay for the vet costs
- when you had your poor kitten treated, and I agree that the roomate
- should go! But, in the case that you may not be in the financial
- position to do without a roomate at this time, you may have to come up
- with an alternative until you can find a replacement. ( I know that at
- this time, I would not be able to survive financially without a
- roomate paying half the bills!)
- So, if that is the case, first of all I greatly sympathize, and
- secondly, I suggest that you make it very clear where the cats stands
- (above the roomate!) , and let her know that you will not tolerate any
- behavior like that again. Also, I would go to the extreme of keeping
- the poor dear in your room while you are gone during the day andd be
- sure to put the kittens food, litter box and toys in there so he won't
- feel totally abandoned. I know this sounds awful for the cat, but if
- you have to keep the roomate for a month or so, I think it would be
- worth it for the safety of the cat and for you own peace of mind.
