  23.   Now, a quick question regarding pipes:  How period are they?  I play, and
  24.   am 1/2 Celt, so I've done a fair bit of research on Scots history, but I've
  25.   yet to see anything specific about pipes older than the late seventeenth
  26.   century.  I *know* they existed in period, but does anyone have any specifics
  27.   as to form?  (ie: two drones, A tuning.  Were the modern three-droned types
  28.   known at the time? Etc)
