authentic and/or diversified events. Some folks used to run a
period-all-the-way feast, we had a 12th ce. Silesian tourney running
for a while. While it is true that none of these made a point of turning away those who either weren't up to snuff or weren't appropriatly attired, the narrower time span tends to produce a good event.
Once I get a life, I'm going to start up a period-feast event
myself. The only aggravating thing is that I don't think I'll be able
to hold it in my personal period, since I'm 12th ce, and the majority
of the cooking sources are much later.
