  12. I went to see the "Act of Intimacy" put on by the X-Plicit Players on
  13. Saturday November 14th.  It was at New College in the Mission district
  14. in San Francisco.  I have to say it was one of the most wonderful
  15. experiences of my life ...  it's left me feeling happy all over for
  16. days afterward.  Wharfie gave a pretty good description of what actually
  17. happened, though I can't really describe the feelings in words, or
  18. the look on the players' faces towards the end.  I just think, anybody who
  19. found the description of it to be interesting and not off-putting should
  20. seriously try to go in the future ...

  22. (and stay past the beginning.  Someone [was it Lisa from Hampshire
  23. College?] said "lots of people left early and said it was boring".  At
  24. first it was indeed kind of boring, and also there's tension in the air.
  25. There's a big audience, all clothed, sitting around, while a few naked
  26. cast members lie around and the leader, Debbie, walks around reciting
  27. strange words into a microphone over a soundtrack of sparse Eastern-ish
  28. music and similar strange words.  This goes on for awhile, and once you
  29. get over the naked bodies (painted with big stylized lips :-), it's
  30. relatively uninteresting, esp. if you think this is it.  But just wait
  31. an hour or so ...)
