  28. Anyone?  When you can climb inside my head, and ride on MY bike,using MY 
  29. perceptions, you can speak for me.  At the moment, you are showing yourself 
  30. you be a control freak, and completely without recognition that people are 
  31. different, and use their senses differently.

  33. One very good article here rightly stated that hearing at speed is affected 
  34. by physiological differences like ear shape, and I can certainly testify 
  35. that a good fairing and a quiet engine (called a Kawasaki Concours) can 
  36. give quite good hearing at anything up to about highway speed with no helmet.

  38. After that, it makes no difference, as I wear earplugs.

  40. As for vision, I challenge you to ride in a car with a helmet.  In fact, just
  41. to show the difference in hearing it makes, have your SO ride in the passenger
  42. seat, also with a helmet on.  Just try to carry on a simply conversation,
  43. and watch those blind spots!
